Ragi Hurihittu is a rich source of fiber compared to wheat that keeps you satiated for a long and also reduces appetite due to the presence of an amino acid called tryptophan. It is often not polished, so retains all its nutrients and is a much healthier grain when compared to wheat. Ragi Hurri Hittu with hot milk, add sugar/jaggery and drink it as a Malt early in the mornings and evenings. Or mix it with buttermilk, add salt, and pepper, and drink it in a Cooler during hot summers. You can use this to make porridges. You can also make laddoos, barfis, and cookies as well with it.
